Pressure Sensors

Pressure Sensors for gas or liquid test media

Overview

Presscision PT Sensors provide accurate measurement of pressure and ambient temperature using gas or liquid test media. Sensors are available in multiple pressure ranges to serve a variety of test applications. Recommended ranges and test applications include:

Model ppt-pt015: 0 to 15 psig

    • Fuel Gas tests (natural gas and propane)
    • Drain waste vent tests (DWV)

Model ppt-pt150: 0 to 150 psig

    • Fuel Gas tests (high pressure, commercial natural gas installations)
    • Drain waste vent tests (DWV)
    • Water supply tests
    • Fire suppression system tests
    • Medical Gas system tests
    • General leak detection testing

Other ranges up to 1000 psig are available.

Sensor Details

The Presscision PT Sensor is a small, rugged sensor designed to install directly to the plumbing under test, and provide accurate measurement of pressure and temperature using gas or liquid test media. The PT Sensor is supplied with a 7′ cable that connects it to the Presscision PPT base unit. The PT Sensor and associated cable connection are fully waterproof (IP67 rated).

All PT Sensors are factory calibrated using a NIST-traceable pressure standard. The calibration is performed just prior to shipping from the factory. A certificate of calibration is supplied with every Sensor. In order to maintain and document sensor accuracy, the factory strongly recommends a yearly re-certification of each PT Sensor.
